Terracotta as a message bus?
posted by ari
Everyone should read this blog post by Mark Turansky. I am happy things have been going well for him in his use of Terracotta.
The important take away for me is what Mark summarizes at the end of his post:
When we switched to a TC message bus, we got rid of 2/3 of the infrastructure and most of the Spring configurations. We now have just one piece of infrastructure to maintain in a highly available way.
This is what we have been saying for a while now (not the part about Spring...just the part about simplifying the app). Great work Mark!

Mark's post is the reason our development team is looking heavily into the product.
It's been an interest for me personally... but that post was enough to get the rest of our team on board as well.
I hope to do a PoC in the next few months. We are excited about the possibilities.
