Rife and Terracotta can work together!

posted by ari

It's [un]official. Both Rife and Terracotta agree that this is a good thing for users of continuations. And, while we are not explicitly supporting Rife with commercial products, I am hoping to get Jonas and Geert to post some samples up here for folks to quickly ramp up on.

Hey Ari, I'm really looking forward to take out some time over the next weeks to make this a reality. It sure will be a lot of fun, and impressive to be working together with famous people like Jonas :-)

Howdy.

I spoke with Bevin about this earlier in the week. I think that having continuations support at the Java language level would be the best solution. Otherwise this takes an extra bit of effort in educating potential users. The spectrum runs from the guys who've been using continuations with RIFE or in other environments to the guys who just don't get it.

Any idea on how much progress has been made in gearing Java to support continuations at the JVM and language level?

Cheers!
